About Us
Founded in 1990 by brothers Anthony and Jim O’Keefe, the Corn Dolly Started with only 3 employees. Both brothers had served their apprenticeships and had a good knowledge of bread and confectionary products. On 7th February 1990 they opened their first store in Newry, which after several difficult months, began to get noticed by customers because of the consistent quality products.
After six years, a second shop was opened in Warrenpoint. Due to our excellent reputation for fresh quality products, it was also a success. In 2005 we moved to a new purpose built factory with state of the art equipment including a range of hi-tech fridges, bread proofers and more energy efficient ovens. Since then, we have continued to grow by expanding our product range with the emphasis always on quality.
Over the years we have also broken into the wholesale market and have developed an excellent customer base both north and south of the boarder. Family baking is at the very heart of our organisation and we aim to provide our customers with quality goods at highly competitive prices.

Awards
Over the years we have won many Great Taste & Bridgestone Guide awards, and we were one of the first winners of the prestigious confectionary shield. Maynard Mawhinney, Director of Food at Invest NI said: “By attending these types of events and entering high profile awards like the Irish Great Taste Awards, Northern Ireland food and drink companies can take advantage of enhanced visibility and recognition which allows them to access the global market.”
